This unique system has become known worldwide for the revolution it created in drum mounting and is strongly associated with its identifying ‘mark’. Since its introduction in 1979 the RIMS® system has become widely identified with drum suspension and is at times misused to describe, compare or misrepresent ‘copies’ and other types or ’brands’ of drum suspension.There is only one true RIMS® suspension system.
